Clipless Shoes

I 'am thinking about purchasing clipless shoes. I like to hear your opinion about them

I do adventure racing and on one, we decided to use regular pedals and straps,.....I thought I was going to die. I will never elect to ride without my clipless pedals unless there is no option. Then I might decide how bad I wanted to ride. Go buy them, you will never go back!

I had a chance to try clipless pedals and really enjoyed how it helped me to pedal more efficiently. But I would need to get used to the idea that it may takes a bit more time or effort to get the feet down. I wonder if the chance to get tangled up with the bike in a crash situation is higher with clipless pedals?

Just kidding I only wish I was that good! If you were haveing trouble clipping there is a chance the tention adjustment screw was too tight. Loosing up this screw allows you to clip in and get out a lot easier. Just back off a little untill you get more adjusted to having you feet atached. It doesn't take long though. In a crash my muscles react so fast my feet come unclipped without even thinking about it. Good luck!

I guess the only way to find out is to ride until it's going to happen and the dirt is hugging me...... again. Thanks for the tip to losen up the adjustment screws. The way they worked just didn't feel safe in case of a crash.

the only problem with the clipless shoes that if a condition arises in which you have to put your feet down ,then it takes an extra effort in doing so,in the meant time you can tangle up and can meet the road............
