Hi there,
please give me a tip on a decent bike between $1000-1500
I just started out and really enjoy it. But my bike is not the greatest for rougher terrain. Any suggestion are appreciated :)

hi raven,
I'm also looking for a new bike. I have heared that bikes are much cheaper in the USA as they are here in Austria. I'm thinking to get one shipped from the USa to Austria but the shipping and insurance costs are a killer :D. Anyways if you find a great bike in the 1000 $ range please let me know maybe it will be worth to eat the high shipping costs.

hi geggo,
thanks for your interest.
how about coming to the USA for holidays and buy an new bike and bring it back to Austria as a second suitcase. I know of people who done that and it was no problem with customs.
Think about it, the USA has some great trails!!!;)

Hi Raven,
sounds like a great idea. :) I have thought about that already. I have a fried who brought his bike in the States and brought it to Austria. Although he drove his bike quite a bit before he took it home he had to pay duty and a fine on top of it. They checked his wallet and found the receipt from the bike store .

hi geggo
that's to bad for your friend, maybe next time you should tell customs right away that you bring a bike accross to avoid the fine.
don't you think it's a good time to buy in the states with the US$
so low, i heard from many european tourist that this the best time to visit the states. Think about it
